The hardest part of your first Seattle dance class is not always learning the steps. Sometimes, it is simply walking through the studio door for the first time.

For a child, teen, or adult, a first dance class can bring a lot of feelings: excitement, nerves, curiosity, and the worry of not knowing what to do. Will everyone else be more experienced? What if I miss the count? What if I do not get it right the first time?

Here is the truth: no one gets every step right on day one—and that is not the goal.
